A breath of fresh air, in a vast area where nature blooms and thrives. Travelers, but also most of the locals do not know about the garden. And it is a pity, as it is a great place filled with rare species of flora. Plants from all over the world have been cultivated there over the past decades, creating a spectacle matching no other. Beautiful colors and chromatic combinations straight out of a fairytale, inviting you to discover their magical details. Athens Botanical Garden is located in the area of Chaidari, in the western part of Athens. The garden has been donated by Ioulia and Alexandros Diomedes to the Greek State. So ever since the 1950s, the area has been used by students at the University of Athens to study and cultivate rare forms of plants. In total, more than 2,500 different plants are found in the area.<\/p>\n

It is a unique experience for everyone to visit Athens Botanical Garden at least once, when in Athens. It is found in 403 Iera Odos, Chaidari. Admission is free for all and opening hours stretch from 08:00 to 14:00 on weekdays and 10:00 to 15:00 at the weekend.
