On 11 November 2018, the whole world will see the runners of the authentic 2018 Athens Marathon<\/a> compete. A long lasting tradition, dating to Greek antiquity, lives on and on. And if you wish to participate to the event, registrations have just started! For all races, you will need to fill out a form online. And you do that from 18 April, to ensure that you become part of History!<\/p>\n

The Marathon Race starts at 9.00 pm sharp. This is the original route covered for well over 2,500 years. The distance completed is 42,195 meters. Imagine that there will be more than 50,000 runners and 3,000 volunteers. These numbers reveal the unsurpassed value of this glorious event. And this is the reason why Athens Marathon has won the Gold Award as a Major Tourist Event in Greece.<\/p>\n

Medals are given to those finishing the 2018 Athens Marathon, while there are less demanding races for you to consider. 5 and 10 kilometers are also available, as well as the Kids Race, Special Olympics Race and Power Walking.<\/p>\n
