For those thinking that a small island has a limited number of swimming choices, well then Antiparos is here to prove you are wrong! Calm waters with golden sandy beaches, vertical crags with caves exposed to the open sea and the winds, exploration and hidden paradises are here to cover the most demanding swimming preferences! Find your style!<\/p>\n

Easily accessible beaches, just some minutes\u2019 walk from the village of Antiparos:<\/h3>\n

Psaralyki A and B <\/strong><\/p>\n

Just around five minutes-walk south of the port and only a couple of minutes further on, these two sheltered beaches are ideal for long swimming! Beaches are both organized, offering also natural shade across the golden sand. Note that the sea is shallow, so perfect for families with small children.<\/p>\n

Panayia or Psaralyki C <\/strong><\/p>\n

Around a 15 minute walk south of Antiparos Town, right after Psaralyki A and B, you will find this beautiful, large bay with crystal waters, sandy beach, silver pebbles and full of natural shade by tamarisks. A little but well regarded taverna nearby offers its goodies.<\/p>\n

Sifneiko or Sunset Beach<\/strong><\/p>\n

500m away from the main street of Antiparos town, next to the main square, there is this beautiful sandy beach with clear crystal waters. Its name derives from its view to the island of Sifnos, while the sunset is really special! Note that the beach is exposed to the winds from the north and west and so waves can be quite rough sometimes.<\/p>\n

Ayios Spyridonas or \u2018Baby Beach\u2019 <\/strong><\/p>\n

Ideal for families with small kids, this organized, shallow sandy beach is located to the northeast of the Port. The beach is protected from the winds with crystalline waters and magnificent panoramic view of Paros Island.<\/p>\n

Camping Beach<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is about Antiparos Camping around a 5 minute walk north of the town with a great beach. Clear, turquoise waters with a wide sandy beach form the scenery, while you can head a little away in one of the few officially recognized naturist places across the whole Greece. Amenities are provided and note that the beach gathers mostly young people. If you want to explore some small fine beaches, go exactly opposite from the Camping Beach and follow the uninhabited islet of Diplos<\/strong> but prepare yourself with your own beach stuff and be careful of the winds!<\/p>\n

Swim away of the Village:<\/h3>\n

Glyfa<\/strong><\/p>\n

3.5km east from the Port, lies one of the most beloved beaches of Antiparos. Rural setting, crystal-clear waters and golden sand create the ideal tranquility scenery for a relaxing swim. The beach is unorganized but hotels situated close to the beach can cover the necessary amenities.<\/p>\n

Apandima or Still Waters<\/strong><\/p>\n

Right after the intersection leading to the Cave, you will find a small sheltered beach with pebbles, setting in a lovely cove fully protected from the summer winds. Natural shade is provided.<\/p>\n

Soros<\/strong><\/p>\n

The largest beach of Antiparos is located 8km from the Port and is ideal for swimming lovers. It is a wide, clean sandy beach with fine pebble and waters that gets deep very quickly. Restaurants with traditional island cuisine are to be found there while just before the beach, there is also the beautiful beach of Mikros (little) Soros<\/strong>. If you continue to the south, at a distance of approximately 2km from Soros, you will find the small, sandy beach of Sostis<\/strong> and some meters away, under the chapel of Faneromeni<\/strong>, gigantic crags have created a sheltered haven offering tranquillity and unforgettable dives in the homonymous beach.<\/p>\n

Livadeia<\/strong><\/p>\n

Located on the most undeveloped side of Antiparos this beautiful remote, sandy beach is not easily accessed but is great for nature-lovers. Keep in mind that the beach is affected by the summer winds. Next to Livadeia there is the great, wild, deserted and quiet Monastiria beach for privacy seekers.<\/p>\n

Agios Georgios<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the south eastern coast of Antiparos there is the little port of Ai Yiorgis that you can swim in many small but beautiful sandy beaches. Firstly, the same name fine sandy beach is in a picturesque sheltered bay offering an exceptional view to the uninhabited islet of Despotiko just across. Vathys Volos<\/strong>, is another beautiful sandy, beach right after. For absolute privacy and calmness look for the Kako Rema<\/strong> beach that due to its distance from the main road can be reached either by bike or boat. The beach is fully protected from the winds with crystalline waters and a stunning view. Bear in mind that from the port of Agios Georgios you can go on excursions to Despotiko<\/strong> and to the most exotic beaches of the island and nearby rocky islets, such as \u2018Epitafios<\/strong>\u2019, with its vertical white crags, turquoise waters and sea caves. The Spilia tis Fokias<\/strong> [seal\u2019s cave] is also nearby.<\/p>\n
