The National Archeological Museum is celebrating its 150th birthday in 2016. As this is one of Athens’ most important museums, the celebrations for this pivotal anniversary have taken many forms. The special photography exhibition “People among the splendid ruins of Athens from the 19th to the 20th century” is one of them. Housed at the museum’s cafe it offers a photographic panorama to Athens, its people and monuments. Co-organized by Herakleidon museum and curated by photography historian Haris Yiakoumis, this exhibition will take you to a splendid tour to Athens of the fin-de-siecle.
