Turkey is a massive country which lays between two continents, the larger part in Asia and a smaller in Europe. The Democratic republic of Turkey was formed during the early 20th Century and united the multi-descendant population under the roof of one proud nation.

In the land of Turkey you will find many Hellenic Archaeological sites, as well as Christian and Jewish heritage, a diverse landscape which offers the outskirts of the Mediterranean sea and of course the cosmopolitan city of Ankara.

You can get an international flight to Istanbul from all over the world. Turkish airlines have won several awards for the quality of their service. You could drive to Turkey from Greece, Bulgaria or visit one of the Asia Minor ports from Greece.

Ankara is the capital of Turkey and is in the Asian mainland.

Istanbul is a historical city which is divided between two continents and the largest city in Turkey as the leading industrial, commercial and cultural center with a population of about 15 million people!

Canakkale is a seaside city and seaport in Turkey, in Çanakkale Province, on the southern (Asian) coast of the Dardanelles at their narrowest point.

Like Istanbul part of the city is on European and the rest on Asian ground. This area has been an important harbor since antiquity since it is a major crossing point. It is a convenient base to explore many nearby sights from such as the archaeological site of Troy (Truva or Troya in Turkish) which is about 30 km away, where you will find ruins of the legendary city with the re-constructed wooden Trojan horse.

Cappadocia is a very special place on earth. On one hand this area is characterized by the landscape that has been formed as a result of earthquakes, volcanoes over the last 6 million years of molding by heat and wind and feels extraterrestrial!

On the other this land has hosted civilizations for thousands of years, who have left their marks from the underground cities they built to the homes carved inside big stonesand rocks including Christian Churches! Pammukale is another unique place on this earth characterized for the natural calcified scenery and thermal springs which form natural pools below the ancient city of Hierapolis. Pamukkale, meaning "cotton castle" in Turkish, is a natural site in Denizli Province in southwestern Turkey. The city contains hot springs and travertines, terraces of carbonate minerals left by the flowing water. It is located in Turkey's Inner Aegean region, in the River Menderes valley, which has a temperate climate for most of the year.
