Getting There

You can reach Milos by ferry from the port of Pireaus or by plane connecting through Athens. The regular ferry will take from 5 to 7 hours to arrive, depending on the number of scheduled stops on that day.

The high-speed jet is much faster and takes 3-4 hours to arrive. There are several connections from Milos to the other Cycladic islands, such as Sifnos and Santorini. Ferry services to Crete, Karpathos, Kassos and Rhodes are also operating, but are less frequent. Flights to Milos connecting from Athens last about 45 minutes and operate daily.

Where to Stay

There a number of options to book an accommodation. On the island you will find a big variety of hotels and rooms to let. You will find places to book at the following places: the capital Adamantas, Tripiti, Polonia, Plaka, Paleochori, Agios Sostis, Mandrakia, Pachaina, Emporio and Sarakiniko. Near the airport is the longest beach on the island Chivadolimni where you will find camping facilities for tents, trailers as well as bungalows, a taverna and pleasant pool-bar.

Getting Around

Milos is a big island and definitely worth to explore and discovery its secrets! It is recommended that you rent a car or bike from one of the many local agents. Additionally Milos has a public bus service that connects all of the towns and most of the beaches. You can catch a bus from the main terminal which is in the capital Adamantas. A great way to explore the beaches is by excursion boat from the main port of Adams. These boats leave early in the morning and return in the afternoon. To plan a day-boat ride just visit the port in the afternoon and you will find all the boats open for bookings and offering information.
